I have been working in the Ithaca and surrounding area since 2000 when I was a graduate student at Cornell University. I realized that being my own boss was a bigger calling than the educational training I received at Cornell.  Better Living Spaces  (BLS) exists as my way to build, create, and improve a space through meticulous attention to detail. 

Although I run a small operation, I can do almost as many jobs as the big crews. There are lots of benefits of working with a small company: you are directly supporting someone in your community, you can work with the owner,  and because we depend on word of mouth to get our next job, 

we do a good job.  

In addition to my home improvement/contracting work,  my wife and I have rental properties in Ithaca, and with the help of three young children work on our 

small hobby family farm.
